How long will it take me to build one of these?

This will vary dependent upon how much time you have and your mechanical experience, but our average customer needs about 2000 hours. In real terms, if you work on the car most weekends and some evenings, you can expect to be complete in about 2 years. Cars can be built much quicker of course, and we also have customers who are taking things more slowly, and their builds are taking up to five years. In the end we will always recommend patience over haste. All of the very best replicas are produced by our patient customers.

Do I have to do everything myself?

Not at all. We have our own workshop with mechanics skilled in all aspects of our cars, and can provide assistance at any stage. There are also plenty of independent workshops who will undertake custom builds such as one of our replicas. Several of our customers have just used local mechanics for some aspects of their car.

Can I just buy an already constructed car?

Yes. We can build one of our Replicas to your own special requirements and simply hand over the keys to you when done for you to drive her away.

How fast will it go?

This will depend upon a number of factors, mainly the engine you fit but also how well balanced the car is (this can be done by professionals once your car is complete) and how you set the shock-absorbers. As a general rule, most of the engine options we offer should get you to 60mph in about 6 seconds, with a top-end speed of at least 140mph.

How safe will my car be to drive?

Before they can be driven in the UK, our vehicles have to pass the SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) test here, which has a series of checks to ensure that an individual car has been built to a high safety standard. Every single kit that we produce has everything necessary to pass this test, including side impact bars in the doors, reinforced door locks, a roll-bar and roll-cage, and strong chassis protection for the fuel tanks.

Can I get in touch with some of your existing and past customers?

Can I take a replica for a test drive?

Please call us and ask if this would be possible. We occasionally have complete cars in the workshop that we may be able to let you test drive, but we can't guarantee this.
